Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner (part-time) to join our team. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across various commercial premises. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for clients and staff alike. Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers fixed starting hours suitable for those seeking part-time employment. 9:30am 11:30am Tuesday and Friday.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of designated areas
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces to high standards
- Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste responsibly
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are stored safely and properly maintained
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties to management
- Adhere to company policies regarding confidentiality and security of premises
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and reliability are essential for ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and thoroughly
- Physical fitness to perform cleaning duties which may involve standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting moderate loads
