Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with healthcare regulations and pharmacy procedures
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, packaging, and labelling
- Provide guidance to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and storage instructions
- Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and inventory levels
- Support the administration of medications under supervision, ensuring compliance with protocols
- Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and medication management
- Manage stock levels, reorder supplies as necessary, and verify incoming deliveries for accuracy
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members
- Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy practice are advantageous
- A compassionate attitude towards patients and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
