We are inviting applications for the role of Housing Support Worker, on a variety of our sites in Gloucester, either on fixed term contracts or permanent roles.

The role is 37.5 hours a week, working on a three-week rota basis, with one week in three working weekends.
Salary is up to £27,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills, experience and qualifications.
About you
You will have:
· A Level 3 qualification or a desire to achieve this qualification.
· Experience of working in temporary housing, supporting homelessness and complex needs, or similar
Competencies, Technical Skills & Experience
· Evidence of an excellent standard of literacy, numeracy and English language skills.
· Ability to work with tact and diplomacy and react sensitively and with emotional intelligence when dealing with complex, sensitive or confidential scenarios.
· Able to work in a highly confidential way with the ability to apply judgement, common sense, problem solve and find practical solutions to difficult challenges.
· Ability to manage own workload with minimum supervision, to tight deadlines and to work well in a busy office environment.
· Effective interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to maintain good working relationships across a range of staff levels both internally and externally.
· Able to drive is desirable.
· Previous experience of working as a Housing Support Worker is desirable.
· Previous experience of working in a supported housing environment is desirable.

About the Role
The Housing Support Worker’s role is to work as part of a committed and capable team to provide housing related support to those who need our help, supporting them to achieve their aspirations for future housing and independent living. The Housing Support Worker also helps to maintain a safe and supportive living environment for vulnerable people and to help manage any additional support needs of residents through various engagement methods.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be tactful and diplomatic, apply judgement and common sense and react sensitively and with emotional intelligence when dealing with the complex or sensitive circumstances of vulnerable people.
