Duration of Appointment: 24 months Fixed Term full time, 18 months Fixed Term Full time.
Days/Hours: Monday to Friday between 8am to 5pm
A full time 2-year fixed term and 18-month full time fixed term opportunities have arisen in the Digital team. The roles are to assist in the delivery of the strategic, digital aspirations of the Council in line with the Council’s Digital Strategy, ensuring that the organisation maximises the benefits of digital technology.
These posts will lead and co-ordinate the delivery of various digital projects associated with the Digital Strategy. They will also support the Digital Projects Manager in the client management of the collaborative IT service, Shared Resource Service (SRS) including performance management, prioritisation and delivery of work allocated to the SRS. The posts will assist in the management of retained IT contracts, mobile devices and networks including contract management, and ongoing development. The roles will also assist in the research, planning and implementation of new technologies for the organisation and the city.
These are important and interesting roles, and we are seeking individuals with knowledge and understanding of project management techniques together with an understanding of digital issues affecting local government, including partnership working and collaboration. These posts also require the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals and provide technical advice to a non-technical audience. The roles will require some working at the Civic Centre, likely to be one or two days per week.
