Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout shifts.
- Support the storage and organisation of supplies and ingredients to ensure easy access for kitchen staff.
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed diligently.
- Help with setting up workstations for meal service and clearing after busy periods.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to create a safe working environment for everyone.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
