Class 1 HGV Driver (Container Work) – Stowmarket

We are looking for a reliable and professional Class 1 (C+E) HGV Driver to join our growing team based in Stowmarket. The role involves collecting and delivering shipping containers to and from Felixstowe Port, serving customers across the local and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport shipping containers safely and efficiently to and from Felixstowe Port.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
- Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed on time.
- Comply with all DVSA regulations, driver hours, and Working Time Directive requirements.
- Complete all relevant paperwork and use transport systems as required.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer service at all times.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph card.
- Previous container experience is preferred but not essential, as training can be provided.
- Knowledge of port procedures is an advantage.
- Good understanding of driver hours and road transport legislation.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic.
