Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to uphold safety and security standards across our premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the environment, preventing loss, and responding promptly to incidents. Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security.
- Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV, to observe activity and identify potential security breaches.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious behaviour and deterring theft or vandalism.
- Respond swiftly to alarms or emergency situations, including providing first aid if necessary.
- Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with management regarding security concerns.
- Control access points by verifying identification and authorisation of visitors or staff.
- Enforce site policies and procedures to uphold safety standards at all times.
Requirements
- Prior experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- First aid certification or willingness to obtain certification is desirable.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanour.
- Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts as required.
