Sales Coordinator
Location: Ferndown, Dorset
Salary: £28,000–£31,000, depending on experience, plus performance bonus
Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week
Reports to: Sales manager
The opportunity
PowerNaturally is looking for an organised, commercially minded and confident person to join our sales team.
This is more than a traditional sales administration position. You will play a central role in managing new enquiries, coordinating quotations, maintaining our sales pipeline and making sure customers receive timely and professional follow-up.
As your technical knowledge and experience develop, you will also qualify new opportunities and manage selected smaller projects through the sales process from initial enquiry to order.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong sales support, customer service or administration experience who would like to develop a career in technical sales and renewable energy.

PowerNaturally designs and installs integrated renewable-energy systems for homeowners, builders and architects across the South of England.
Our projects include:

Our projects can range from individual technologies through to complete renewable-energy packages for substantial new-build and renovation projects.
The role
You will help manage the sales process from the point a new enquiry is received through to quotation, follow-up and order.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring the sales inbox and responding promptly to new enquiries.
- Creating and maintaining accurate customer, site and opportunity records within Simpro.
- Contacting new leads by telephone to understand their project, requirements, timescale and available information.
- Requesting plans, photographs, energy information and other details required to progress an enquiry.
- Identifying whether an opportunity is suitable for PowerNaturally.
- Preparing quotation documents using approved design, scope and pricing information.
- Checking quotations, customer information, inclusions, exclusions, payment terms and attachments before issue.
- Recording when quotations are sent and ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are scheduled.
- Reviewing opportunities that have become delayed, inactive or have gone quiet.
- Contacting customers to establish their current position, likely decision timescale and next steps.
- Reactivating suitable opportunities and returning significant projects to the appropriate salesperson.
- Managing selected smaller or more straightforward opportunities through to acceptance.
- Preparing, submitting and monitoring DNO applications.
- Liaising with Sales, Estimating, Design and Projects to keep opportunities moving.
- Ensuring accepted projects are handed over with complete and accurate information.
The person we are looking for
You are likely to be someone who combines strong organisation and attention to detail with the confidence to speak to customers.
You will be comfortable taking responsibility for actions, following up consistently and making sure important information is recorded accurately.
You should have:
- Experience in sales administration, sales support, customer service, internal sales or a similar role.
- A confident and professional telephone manner.
- Clear written communication.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple enquiries, deadlines and follow-up actions.
- Experience using CRM, job-management or customer-management systems.
- Competence with Microsoft Office.
- A commercially aware and customer-focused approach.
- The confidence to ask questions and obtain the information needed to progress an opportunity.
- An interest in developing your knowledge of renewable technologies and technical sales.
Experience in renewable energy, heating, plumbing, electrical products, construction, property, home improvements or another technical sector would be helpful, but it is not essential.
Full training will be provided on our systems, products and sales process.
