Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-time Accounts / Admin Person to support our finance and administrative functions. This role offers flexibility and an opportunity to gain valuable experience in accounting and office management. The successful candidate will assist with various bookkeeping tasks, data entry, and general administrative duties, contributing to the smooth operation of our organisation.
Duties
- Maintain and update financial records using our accounting software, this being Sage.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements
- Prepare and submit monthly financial reports
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations and standards
- Assist with payroll processing
- Handle confidential financial information with integrity
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff members
- Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Assist with data entry tasks to ensure accurate record keeping
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Assist with scheduling appointments and meetings
- Provide general administrative support to staff members as needed
- Logging new jobs and contracts and instructing suppliers
- Logging new estimate requests and obtaining quotes from suppliers.
- Producing quotes and reports as directed.
- Liasing with Clients and Suppliers
- Other office duties as directed.

- Proven experience in accounts/admin or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Proficient in using Google, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and other computerized systems
- Knowledge of Sage accounts software would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Previous experience in an accounts or clerical role is preferred
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to type accurately and efficiently

Requirements
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential

- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
