Are you passionate about food and looking to start your career in professional kitchens?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Commis Chef to join our growing team at Barry Masonic Hall, with opportunities to gain additional experience through Chef at Home, our award-winning private chef business.
This role would be ideal for someone aged 18+ who is currently studying catering, recently completed a college course, or is looking for their first step into a professional kitchen.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting with food preparation and service
- Learning a variety of cooking techniques from experienced chefs
- Helping to prepare menus for weddings, banquets, private events and dining experiences
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Assisting with stock rotation and organisation
- Supporting the team during busy service periods

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
