Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for the culinary arts, ensuring that our kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.
THIS ROLE INCLUDES WORKING WEEKDAYS AND WEEKENDS INCLUDING LATE FINISHES UP TO 11PM - PLEASE DO APPLY IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO WORK THESE TIMES. THIS IS A PART TIME ROLE OF AROUND 16 HOURS PER WEEK WITH EXTRA TO COVER HOLIDAYS AND DURING BUSY TIMES
Responsibilities
- Supervise staff and coordinate daily activities to ensure efficient food preparation and production.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
- Assist in training new team members in culinary techniques, food preparation, and safety protocols.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
- Foster a positive team environment by encouraging collaboration and effective communication among staff.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and promptness.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and functioning optimally.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is essential, with a focus on food preparation and production.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in team management within the hospitality sector, including hotels or restaurants.
- Familiarity with culinary techniques and food safety regulations is required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate a diverse team.
