We operate a thriving Trailer Cafe in the hospital grounds as well as having opened a new permanent Cafe within the new Community Diagnostic Centre located onsite at the NNUH in Feb 2025!

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Barista to join our team. Our Baristas are responsible for serving a variety of coffee and tea items, making espresso drinks, operating a cash register and offering customers an enjoyable visit. Our chosen candidate will be comfortable in all aspects of food handling and minor food preparation tasks. Knowledge of HACCP systems and practices is desired. The successful applicant will have previous experience working in the food service industry and will be able to work well with a team.
All aspects of catering service will be required, with food display and service, VDU use and cleaning.
A professional, fun and hard working attitude is a must for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Brew coffee according to customer/business instructions.
- Use the cash register, credit card machine and point of sale system.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner.
- Be comfortable in food handling
- Understanding of HACCP
- Use the espresso machine.
- Have knowledge of coffee and coffee making techniques.
- Have a positive attitude.
- Be able to work as part of a team.
