An exciting opportunity has arisen within Business Support, we are looking to appoint a Full Time Business Support Officer based at Selby Civic Centre to support the Housing Standards Team. The service aims to improve housing standards, ensuring our portfolio of council owned housing is well maintained and meets all regulatory and legislative standards.
You will support Service Team Leaders and Managers with administration tasks such as creating spreadsheets, maintaining records and contacting tenants. To be successful you must have good keyboard and IT skills and have significant experience in Excel and data processing.
The role will predominantly be focusing on reports and collating information and therefore experience in Excel and handling large volumes of data is essential for the work required. Ideally you will have knowledge of Housing Regulations and Landlord duties, however training will be provided to the right candidate.
You must be able to prioritise your own workload, be conscientious, well-organised and have the ability to work independently whilst part of a small team. Business Support Officers are also responsible for minute taking in meetings held across North Yorkshire, therefore the successful candidate must have knowledge of confidentiality and data security.
This is a varied role and requires flexibility and adaptability in a busy service, when no two days are ever the same. If you like a challenge and are highly motivated, organised, and proactive this could be the role for you.
The role offers a mix of hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, subject to service requirements. Full training will be given to the successful applicant, with the requirement to be in the office 5 days a week during the training period.
