Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Shop Assistant/Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Assist customers in the shop by providing friendly, knowledgeable service and answering product inquiries
- Manage stock levels, organize merchandise displays, and ensure the shop area remains clean and inviting
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to customers’ locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Load and unload deliveries, including heavy lifting of bulky or large items, with proper technique and safety awareness
- Communicate clearly with customers during deliveries to confirm receipt and address any questions or concerns
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments and pickups
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations both in-store and on the road
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving commercial driving
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience as a driver is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with inventory management is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during stock handling and deliveries
- Knowledge of driving regulations, vehicle maintenance, and safety procedures for commercial vehicles
- Reliable, punctual, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
