Our kitchen team are a collective of experienced senior chefs from private super yacht chefs to 5 star hotel chefs. Peppermill Bar & Kitchen are seeking a chef to join their successful growing team. The successful candidate will be friendly, personable, and passionate about all thing’s food and drink. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced chef looking for a new role in a forward-thinking hospitality business.
The menu is built from mainly small plates and is a feast of flavours from across the world prepared fresh to order with the concept of sharing at the heart of it.
The Position.
We’re looking for a senior sous chef with experience, who is confident & proactive. You will continually commit to the highest standards of service and operations and working closely with the management team and have a responsibility for stock management and health and safety.
We are looking for a chef that has:
- The ability to inspire, motivate and have a calm attitude for the smooth running of the business.
- A warm, personable, and professional nature
- An eye for attention to detail.
- Understanding of food preparation.
- Passion for and knowledge of food, cocktails, and wine.
- Working knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety requirements.

Our team is the most important part of the business, translating our passion for genuine hospitality to our guests every day. In return we are offering a salary package between £38,000 to £40,000 including tronc per annum. Negotiable on experience.
We insist a genuine work life balance, working only 3 evenings a week.
Duties
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with menu planning and development
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards
- Oversee food production and presentation
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Train and supervise kitchen staff
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and creativity in food presentation
- Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
