About the role
Hunters 4 Staff are working with a client of ours who are a well-established and growing UK manufacturing business, to recruit an experienced Production Supervisor. This is a hands-on role for someone who's an experienced leader — confident leading people, keeping production moving, and setting standards on the shop floor.
You'll be supervising daily workshop operations, supporting your team, and making sure quality, safety and delivery targets are met.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day production across the workshop
- Lead teams involved in laser cutting, sheet metal bending, fabrication, welding and assembly
- Ensure production schedules are met safely, efficiently and on time
- Monitor quality and make sure all work meets customer specifications
- Manage labour and resources to maximise productivity
- Support continuous improvement and help streamline manufacturing processes
Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, sheet metal or general engineering processes
- A hands-on leader who leads by example
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety in a production setting
