Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Office Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily office functions, providing administrative support, and maintaining efficient communication across departments. Responsibilities
- Manage incoming calls with professional phone etiquette, directing enquiries appropriately
- Receive and process timber treatment orders
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date job files and documentation
- Verify incoming load paperwork against order details
- Record allocation of timber to treatment tanks
- Complete and file treatment charge sheets for each job
- Coordinate office supplies procurement and inventory management
- Provide general administrative support to team members to facilitate daily operations
Requirements
- Proven office experience or administrative background demonstrating organisational skills
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
- Strong typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and document preparation
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with professional phone etiquette
- Experience with clerical tasks such as filing, scheduling, and document management
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in administrative or office support roles is desirable but not essential
