Create inspirational environments. Transform young lives.
At Ted Wragg Trust, we know great education starts with great environments. Safe, inspiring and sustainable schools help children thrive.
We're looking for an ambitious Assistant Head of Estates to help shape the future of our estate across a family of schools. Working alongside the Head of Estates, with your estates team you will deliver exciting capital projects, transform learning environments and ensure every investment delivers maximum impact for pupils and communities.
You'll drive value for money through expert contract management, champion compliance and help create exceptional spaces where children can learn, achieve and belong.
This is a rare opportunity to leave a lasting legacy across one of the South West's most ambitious Trusts, delivering inspirational environments that help unlock every child's potential.
About the role
As Assistant Head of Estates, you will work alongside the Head of Estates to create exceptional learning environments through strong operational leadership, effective contract management and successful capital delivery, ensuring a safe, sustainable estate that makes a lasting impact.
About you
You will be someone who is excited to make a difference to children’s lives, with social justice at your core. You will be an ambitious, selfless and collaborative individual who builds strong relationships and is able to drive change for the benefit of all, bringing everyone with you in the process.
Don't let every requirement stop you applying
We recognise that strong candidates do not always come from identical backgrounds.
Experience of education estates or PFI contracts is beneficial but not essential. If there is something that has held you back from applying for roles like this in the past but you believe you are ideally suited to this role, please reach out to us. We are interested in applicants from every stage of their career journey. Please give us a call.
Support and training will be provided to help the successful candidate build expertise in Trust-specific areas.
Why join Ted Wragg Trust?
At Ted Wragg Trust, people come first.
As part of an ambitious and inclusive organisation, you will have the opportunity to make a visible impact across our schools every day. You will join a collaborative team committed to continuous improvement, professional excellence and delivering the best possible environments for education.
Through the Ted Wragg Institute, you will also have access to high-quality professional development and leadership opportunities to support your ongoing growth and career development.
As well as the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the Trust's future, this post includes membership of the excellent Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), with generous employer contributions that provide significant long-term financial and retirement benefits.
If you are looking for a role where you can combine professional challenge, meaningful impact and long-term development, we would love to hear from you.
