Job Summary
We are seeking skilled Painter and Decorators to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This role offers an opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from residential to commercial properties, contributing to the aesthetic and protective qualities of buildings. The ideal applicants will possess strong communication skills, a good understanding of construction painting techniques, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between sites.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming prior to painting or decorating
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and precision
- Follow safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment at all times
- Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines
- Communicate with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and report any repairs needed
- Assist in the planning and organising of decorating projects from start to finish
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating
- Strong knowledge of different paints, finishes, and decorating techniques
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective client interaction and team collaboration
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for site visits and transportation of materials
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality results
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: £160.00 per day
