Quarry Engineer (Explosives)

Our client is a leading organisation within the quarrying and explosives industry. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Quarry Engineer (Explosives) to provide technical support and engineering expertise to customers across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for a degree-qualified engineer with practical experience working with explosives. Whilst quarrying experience is desirable, we also welcome applications from candidates with backgrounds in mining, demolition, military, defence, construction, tunnelling or explosives manufacturing.
The Role
Working closely with customers, you'll provide technical support on blasting operations, promote safe working practices and help deliver effective engineering solutions. This is a field-based role combining engineering, customer support and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for blasting operations and explosive products.
- Visit customer sites to deliver engineering advice and practical solutions.
- Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Deliver technical presentations and customer training where required.
- Prepare technical reports and support continuous improvement initiatives.
About YouEssential
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Mining Engineering, Quarry Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology or a related discipline.
- Practical experience working with explosives.
- Experience gained within quarrying, mining, demolition, military, defence, construction, tunnelling or explosives manufacturing.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel.
