Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Ground Worker to join our team, responsible for supporting various landscaping, construction, and maintenance projects. Responsibilities
- Assisting with landscape maintenance, including planting, pruning, and turf care
- Operating hand tools such as spades, rakes, and secateurs to support gardening activities
- Using power tools and machinery like excavators and irrigation systems for site preparation and maintenance
- Supporting construction tasks including groundwork, fencing, and minor structural repairs
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure safety and efficiency
- Assisting with site clearance, debris removal, and general tidying of work areas
- Collaborating with team members to complete projects within specified timeframes
- Ensuring health and safety protocols are adhered to at all times during operations
Experience
- Prior experience in landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with power tools, excavators, and irrigation systems is advantageous
- Practical understanding of construction or general maintenance work is beneficial
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills in groundskeeping and construction environments
