Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in their daily lives. The successful candidate will assist with personal care, mobility, and household tasks, ensuring clients maintain independence and dignity. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care routines such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support mobility and transfer activities to ensure safety and comfort
- Help with household tasks including light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Follow individualised care plans to meet specific needs of each client
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in condition
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals
- Drive clients to appointments or outings as required (driving experience preferred)
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to operate IT devices for record keeping and communication purposes
- Valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow care plans accurately
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures related to personal care
Pay: £12.71 per hour
