Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tanker Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of liquid cargo, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to manage time effectively while on the road.
Responsibilities
- Operate tanker vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload liquid cargo, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed to prevent spills or contamination.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and logs as required by company policy.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any client concerns professionally.
- You will be required to perform daily walk around check of your vehicle and all of the daily duties will be provided on a software programme and app.
- You will be expected to work some weekends and emergency call outs but this is done on pro rota.
- Successful candidate will be required to work festivals throughout event session but you will also get the opportunity to attend the actual event when all of your work is complete.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driving licence Class 2 minimum.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting hazardous materials.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- To have full knowledge of Tachograph regulations.
