Working on behalf of the NHS, you'll be part of a dedicated team delivering high-quality urgent care across a 7-day service, helping patients receive the right care at the right time.
About the Role
As a FREC4 Urgent Care Assistant, you will support our experienced clinicians in providing safe, compassionate, and effective patient care within a dynamic pre-hospital environment. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your clinical skills while working alongside highly experienced paramedics in a supportive and professional team.
Our service operates 12-hour shifts across a 7-day service, providing flexibility while ensuring continuity of patient care.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting clinicians in delivering urgent care services
- Assessing, monitoring, and caring for patients in community settings.
- Assisting with patient assessments, treatments, and safe transportation where required.
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
- Working collaboratively with NHS partners and multidisciplinary teams.
- Delivering compassionate, patient-centred care at all times.
- Ensuring vehicles, equipment, and clinical supplies are maintained to the highest standards.
What We're Looking For
Essential requirements include:
- FREC Level 4 (First Response Emergency Care Level 4) qualification.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- A caring, compassionate, and patient-focused approach.
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts across a 7-day service.
Desirable:
- Blue Light driving qualification.
- Previous experience within urgent care, ambulance services, primary care, or NHS healthcare settings.
- Additional clinical qualifications or emergency care experience.
