Forklift Operator

Hours: Mon – Fri, 10am to 2pm.
Pay Rate: £13.27/hour

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to support day-to-day warehouse operations. The primary responsibility of this role is to efficiently and safely transport materials between two warehouse sites using a forklift, ensuring timely movement of goods while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklift trucks to transport materials between designated warehouse locations
- Load, unload, and move goods safely and efficiently
- Ensure all loads are secure and handled in accordance with safety procedures
- Perform daily equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance issues
- Accurately record material movements and maintain stock documentation where required
- Assist with inventory control, stock checks, and organisation of goods within the warehouse
- Follow all health, safety, and company procedures at all times
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment (Reach Truck/Counterbalance)
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong awareness of health and safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Work to a high level of accuracy, with good attention to detail and organisational skills
- Physical fitness and ability to handle manual tasks when required
- Strong work ethic.
- Good timekeeping skills, reliable.
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly, both verbally and in writing.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working across multiple warehouse sites
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Flexible approach to work and willingness to assist with additional tasks
