Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Window Fitter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining windows across various residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets safety standards, quality expectations, and client specifications. Duties
- Measure window openings accurately and prepare materials for installation
- Install new windows, ensuring proper fit, sealing, and alignment for optimal performance
- Remove old or damaged windows safely and efficiently before fitting new units
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and secure window components
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, masonry, roofing, and plastering teams to coordinate project tasks
- Follow schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation
- Conduct quality checks post-installation to verify the integrity of the fit and finish
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste responsibly
Skills
- Proven experience in window fitting or related construction roles
- Strong knowledge of roofing, masonry and carpentry is a plus
- Skilled in using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, and levels as well as power tools like drills and saws
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with fabrication techniques and construction site safety protocols
- Experience working with various building materials including plastering compounds and masonry supplies
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks in various weather conditions

Pay: £28,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
