Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential properties. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a variety of environments.
Responsibilities
- Install plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate installation
- Use hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and other specialised tools to complete tasks.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during operations
- Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure project requirements are met
Skills
- Proven experience with plumbing installation and repair techniques
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and assembly techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge relevant to plumbing systems
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Knowledge of carpentry as it relates to plumbing projects.
- Familiarity with the use of basic plumbing components and materials
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
