Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in accounting and experience using various accounting software programmes. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting our financial operations with precision and efficiency.
Duties
- Manage and record financial transactions using accounting software such as Xero
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Process accounts payable and receivable in a timely manner
- Prepare financial reports and summaries as required
- Assist with payroll processing and other administrative finance tasks
- Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records in compliance with company policies
Requirements
- Proven experience with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Experience managing accounts payable and receivable processes
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential
- A recognised qualification in accounting or bookkeeping is advantageous
