I am looking to speak with experienced and confident Senior Management Accountants who would consider a 12-month fixed-term contract, working for a niche business in Peterborough.
This is a key appointment, providing hands-on support to the Finance Director while they lead a major systems implementation project. You will take ownership of the day-to-day management accounting function, ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of all routine financial reporting and accounting activities, enabling the Finance Director to focus on the successful delivery of the project.
This role requires someone who is proactive, self-sufficient and capable of operating with minimal supervision. You'll be a technically strong management accountant who thrives on delivering accurate, timely information and maintaining high standards in a busy finance environment.
You'll have:
- Significant experience in management accounting
- Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or be qualified by experience
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
- The ability to manage competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines
- A proactive approach with the confidence to work on your own initiative
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across the business
- Be able to quickly assess priorities and be able to react quickly and easily to ad hoc requests
- Strong Excel skills and experience using ERP/accounting systems. SAP experience would be an advantage
