At Northway House Residential Home, our residents deserve exceptional care 24 hours a day. We're looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Night Care Assistants to join our friendly team and help ensure our residents feel safe, comfortable, and supported throughout the night.

Your Role
As a Night Care Assistant, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and wellbeing of our residents throughout the night.
Your responsibilities will include:
✅ Providing personal care with dignity and respect
✅ Assisting residents with toileting and continence care
✅ Supporting residents who wake during the night and providing reassurance
✅ Carrying out regular welfare and safety checks
✅ Responding promptly to call bells and emergencies
✅ Assisting residents with mobility using safe moving and handling techniques
✅ Supporting residents living with dementia through calm, reassuring, person-centred care
✅ Recording observations and reporting any changes in residents' health or wellbeing
✅ Completing accurate care documentation
✅ Preparing residents who wake early for the day ahead where appropriate
✅ Helping maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment throughout the home

Experience & QualificationsEssential
- A caring and compassionate nature
- Good communication skills
- Right to work in the UK
- Willingness to complete mandatory training
Desirable
- Previous experience in residential care, dementia care, or healthcare
- Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (or willingness to work towards it)
- Moving & Handling training
- Medication training
- Experience supporting people living with dementia
