Head Barista – Atom Coffee
We're looking for a passionate and skilled Head Barista to lead coffee standards at Atom Coffee. You'll be the driving force behind drink quality, team training, and daily bar operations.
Responsibilities
- Dial in and maintain coffee recipes to the highest standard, working with our Mahlkönig E65GBs grinders
- Operate and maintain our La Marzocco Linea PB and Übermilk system
- Carry out thorough daily and weekly cleaning of grinders, espresso machine, and all bar equipment
- Ensure consistently excellent espresso across all parameters, taste, texture, and visual presentation
- Produce glossy, silky milk texture with strong latte art execution
- Uphold and communicate drink standards to all front-of-house staff
- Train and develop the wider team to a high and consistent level
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of our current espresso, Formative Coffee, Choc Nuts profile, and communicate it confidently to customers and colleagues
What we're looking for
- Proven speciality coffee experience in a fast-paced environment
- Deep understanding of extraction, grind calibration, and milk technique
- A natural eye for detail, every drink leaving the bar should be excellent in taste and appearance
- A calm, confident leader who raises the standard of those around them
Pay: £13.50-£14.50 per hour
