About Aurelia Neptune
Aurelia Neptune is a new kind of microschool — a hybrid between traditional schooling and homeschooling, built for families who want more than either can offer alone.
The Founder is a medical doctor with 2 girls of her own aged 3 and 5
We take small groups (starting with up to five children, ages 4–9) and pair full National Curriculum coverage with a layer of real-world skills most schools don’t touch: financial literacy, entrepreneurship, coding, anatomy, conflict resolution, and life skills.
Small enough to be truly personalised.
Structured enough to be rigorous.
Built for children who thrive with room to explore, not just sit and absorb.
We’re starting with one founding pod in Kent — but we’re not building a single school. We’re building the model.
The plan is to grow from this MVP into a network of locally-run hubs across the UK and, eventually, internationally.
The role
You’d be our first Head Tutor — leading day-to-day delivery for the founding pod, shaping how our curriculum actually works in the room, and helping prove out a model that could become something much bigger.
This isn’t a role where the systems, building, and processes are already set up for you.
A lot of it you’ll help build.
We’re looking for someone who wants that — who’s excited by the early, messy, hands-on stage of something new, not just by teaching within an established structure.
You’ll also be involved beyond the classroom — including supporting our DfE and Ofsted registration process as we move from founding pod to a fully registered setting.
Who we’re looking for
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), ideally with primary experience
- Genuinely entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable with ambiguity, keen to shape and improve as we go
- Excited by small-group, personalised teaching rather than a large single classroom
- Wants to grow with the venture, not just fill a job
- Comfortable getting involved in the practical, behind-the-scenes side of building a school — including registration and compliance work

- A genuine seat at the table in building something from the ground up — with the opportunity to grow into a bigger leadership role as Aurelia Neptune expands

Pay: Up to £220.00 per day
Expected hours: 16.0 – 30.0 per week

- This is a Founding pod - we are securing a location, small group teaching of 2-5 kids & pay scales eith enrollment with registration to come. Does that sound exciting or too risky for you?
