About the role
The Project Manager is responsible for managing visual merchandising projects from client brief through to installation, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Effective communication with clients, internal departments and third parties is key to the role as you manage projects from concept through to successful installation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards
The role is responsible for the successful delivery of allocated projects and for escalating commercial, technical or operational risks where appropriate..
Responsibilities
Evaluate client briefs to understand project requirements, scope and deliverables, seeking guidance from the Senior Project Manager where appropriate.
Provide accurate project appraisals, quotations and timelines, ensuring projects are commercially viable and achievable.
Liaise closely with internal department managers and external suppliers to obtain competitive costings and prepare accurate client quotations.
Assess project timescales and develop detailed project plans to ensure agreed customer deadlines are achieved.
Work closely with the relevant Account Manager to ensure client expectations are understood and delivered throughout the project lifecycle.
Brief the Design team using client requirements and review technical drawings prior to production, escalating any complex technical issues where necessary.
Brief and manage the production of prototypes and full production runs, ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, suppliers and internal departments to ensure clear communication and successful project delivery.
Assess and approve finished products prior to despatch.
Arrange store surveys, installation schedules and coordinate all associated project information.
Coordinate fitting teams for installations, ensuring the appropriate skills and resources are allocated for each project.
Prepare installation packs for fitting teams, including Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Scope of Works documentation.
Arrange deliveries and installation dates with clients, fitting teams and logistics providers.
Support installations where required by attending site or providing remote support to fitting teams to help resolve issues and ensure successful project completion.
Monitor installation progress, ensuring any additional time or variations are communicated and escalated appropriately.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including project trackers, work-in-progress reports and project records throughout the project lifecycle.
Work collaboratively with the wider Project Management team to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and consistently.
Carry out regular project reviews and provide progress updates to the Head of Projects throughout the life of each project.
Identify opportunities to improve project delivery, communication and internal processes, raising suggestions through the appropriate channels.
Undertake any other duties reasonably required to support the successful delivery of projects.
Promote sustainable practices across all stages of project delivery — from sourcing to installation.
Use environmentally responsible materials and processes, ensuring ethical and inclusive supplier partnerships.
