Purpose of the Role
To manage the daily operations of the takeaway, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient business operations, compliance with food safety regulations, and achievement of sales and profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the takeaway, ensuring efficient and profitable business performance. Recruit, train, supervise and motivate kitchen and front-of-house staff. Prepare staff rotas and monitor attendance, performance and productivity. Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene Regulations, Health & Safety legislation and company procedures. Monitor food preparation and service standards to maintain product quality and customer satisfaction. Manage stock levels, place orders with suppliers and monitor inventory to minimise waste. Control cash handling, daily sales reconciliation and banking procedures. Deal with customer enquiries and complaints, ensuring prompt and professional resolution. Monitor operating costs, labour costs and food costs to maximise profitability. Maintain supplier relationships and ensure timely purchasing of stock and packaging materials. Ensure all kitchen equipment and premises are properly maintained and arrange repairs where necessary. Prepare sales and stock reports for the business owner and recommend operational improvements. Plan and implement local marketing and promotional activities to increase sales. Ensure the takeaway opens and closes in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records relating to staff, stock, food safety and business operations.
Required Skills
- Experience managing a takeaway or restaurant. Strong leadership and staff management skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations. Stock control and supplier management. Cash handling and financial management. Ability to work under pressure and solve operational problems.
Pay: From £27,000.00 per year
