About the Role:
I’m looking for a Personal Care Assistant to assist with a variety of tasks to allow me to live my personal and social life according to my wishes and interests. This will include things like simple food prep; light housework; admin support; support with physiotherapy exercises, plus other ad hoc support when required.
I’m multi-systemically seriously ill, which include energy-limiting ones (including ME) which cause chronic fatigue, and allergic conditions. I’m in chronic pain due to the medical conditions. Please note, I am not a wheelchair user.
If you are applying as a self-employed PA, please provide your hourly rate on application. If you’re looking for an employed role, the rate will be £15 per hour.
Day & Times: I’m ideally looking for someone to work for me on Fridays and Saturdays, or Sundays. Thursdays can also be a possibility. Applicants with availability on any of those days will be considered. This will be for 3 hours per week with the possibility of more hours. Please mention your availability when applying.

The role is based in Boscombe.
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the person who needs

This role does not involve live-in or overnight support.
Loves nature, walks in it, foraging, when well enough. Also likes audiobooks, board games.
Is multi-systemically seriously ill. Diseases include energy-limiting ones (including ME and fibromyalgia,) which cause chronic fatigue, and allergic conditions. Is in chronic pain due to the medical conditions. Is not a wheelchair user.
£15 per hour employed rate. If you are self-employed, please state your rates on application, and confirm that, if successful, you would be able to provide proofs of Unique Tax Reference Number, Public Liability Insurance, and your terms and conditions.
3 fixed hours p/w, ideally on weekends. There are also some additional back hours to use up on Thursdays. Please mention when you are available when applying. Priority will be given to PAs with weekend availability, but PAs with availability any days between Thursday and Sunday will be considered.
- Simple food prep, and cooking.
- Light housework.

- Help sometimes with running baths, but no help beyond that needed with bathing or showering.
- Help with lacing shoes or boots.
- Support with physiotherapy exercises.
-Help with social activities, including walks / drives / getting out to engage with hobbies, and into community, e.g. to LGBT community groups, or a 40 somethings social group. Or when not well enough, sitting and playing board games / cards.
- Have an understanding that when I’m not feeling well enough to carry out any activities, to support with other duties whilst I rest.
- Occasional help with lacing shoes or boots.
- Occasional help with running baths / showers, but no help with bathing or showering needed beyond that.
- Light cleaning, laundry, weekly laundry change.
- Food prep, cooking, blending.
These duties may vary day-to-day.
- Will be warm, open-minded, patient, organised, a good communicator, a good listener, able to take guidance, a good timekeeper, self-motivated.
- Will be understanding of the need to be scent-free whilst in the role, due to my allergic conditions.
- Will be masked when indoors with me.
- Will be comfortable with animals.
