Live-In Support Worker (Male & Female) ABI & Learning Disabilities In Bradwell, Great Yarmouth.
Looking for a role where you can genuinely change someone's life?
At Active Care Group, we're looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Live-In Support Worker to support a friendly young man with an acquired brain injury and learning disabilities to live independently, enjoy the activities he loves, and achieve his goals.
This is a unique opportunity to build a meaningful relationship with one person while enjoying an excellent work-life balance through our 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off live-in rota.
Meet the client:
You'll be supporting a sociable and engaging young man who lives independently in his own home in Great Yarmouth.
He enjoys spending time in the community, visiting farms and zoos, playing Xbox, watching YouTube, getting involved in sports such as cricket and wheelchair football, bowling, arts and crafts, and spending time with family. He particularly enjoys outings with his grandad and trips to local attractions.
Following meningitis as a baby, he lives with an acquired brain injury, learning disabilities, hearing impairment and mobility challenges. With the right support, encouragement and guidance, he enjoys an active and fulfilling lifestyle.
About the Role
As a Live-In Support Worker, you'll stay in the client's home during your placement and provide person-centred support that promotes independence, wellbeing and community participation.
A major benefit of this placement is that the client attends school during weekdays, meaning there are regular periods of downtime throughout the day when direct support is not required, allowing for a healthy balance within the live-in arrangement.
