Watney Supermarket Ltd T/A Priyo Bazaar is a family-run business with nearly 10 years of experience supplying meat, poultry, and seafood to the ethnic catering market. We are committed to delivering high-quality products and excellent customer service. We are currently looking for a reliable and detail-focused Till Controller to join our team and support our daily store operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate tills efficiently and accurately, processing cash, card, and contactless payments.
- Monitor and control all till activities to ensure correct transactions and prevent discrepancies.
- Balance tills at the beginning and end of each shift and prepare daily cash reports.
- Identify and investigate any till differences, reporting issues to management promptly.
- Ensure all transactions are recorded correctly in line with company procedures.
- Assist in implementing procedures to reduce cash-handling errors and improve efficiency.
- Work closely with management to ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of all financial information.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar retail or cashier role is preferred
- Good numerical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work accurately under pressure in a busy environment
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Honest, reliable, and responsible attitude
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends if required
