Overview

Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Support food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation of ingredients and equipment
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping, peeling, and measuring
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and cleaning surfaces
- Assist with serving food to customers or staff as required
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Support the team during busy periods by providing efficient assistance with meal assembly and presentation
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food preparation is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm for learning is key
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
