Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Labourer to join our dynamic team on various construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with a wide range of tasks to support skilled tradespeople and ensure the smooth progress of construction works. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills across multiple areas of construction, including roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, and more. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with their tasks, including roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, carpentry, masonry, and plastering.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Prepare sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organising materials.
- Support with fabrication and assembly of construction components as required.
- Follow schematics and technical drawings to aid in construction activities.
- Perform general labouring duties such as lifting heavy materials, mixing cement, and moving equipment around site.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in construction or related trades is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key.
- Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, masonry, carpentry or plastering is desirable.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Basic understanding of schematics or technical drawings is beneficial.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual labour for extended periods.
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude.
- Valid UK driving licence is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: £16.00-£22.00 per hour
