The Tap House is an independent country pub, restaurant, accommodation and brewery in Smisby, near Ashby-de-la-Zouch.
We are looking for friendly, reliable Bar & Restaurant Team Members to join our front-of-house team.
The role involves working across both the bar and restaurant, providing efficient and professional service while helping create a relaxed and welcoming experience for our customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Serving customers on the bar
- Taking food and drink orders
- Providing table service in the restaurant
- Preparing and serving drinks
- Using the till and handling payments
- Clearing and resetting tables
- Preparing the bar and restaurant for service
- Keeping customer areas clean, organised and well presented
- Communicating with the kitchen and wider team during service
- Helping with opening and closing duties
- Following licensing, food hygiene and health & safety procedures
We are looking for people who are:
- Friendly, confident and comfortable speaking with customers
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a busy environment
- Organised and able to use initiative
- Willing to work evenings and weekends
- Proud of maintaining good standards of service and presentation
Previous bar, restaurant or hospitality experience is useful but not essential, as training will be provided.
Due to our semi-rural location, reliable transport is essential.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 – 40.0 per week
