MECA Car Services is an independent lady owned and award winning garage, based on the popular Sowton Industrial Estate in Exeter. We offer repairs, servicing and MOTs for all makes of cars and light commercial vehicles including 4x4s and motorhomes.
We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our team, and are looking for someone who is awesome!
Of course you’ll need to be confident and skilled in the service, diagnosis and mechanical repair of vehicles to manufacturer standards too. And if you are capable of operating with a high level of efficiency then we definitely want to hear from you!
It’s not all about just turning spanners, as this is a great opportunity to work as part of a small team, sometimes under pressure, sometimes not, and have additional responsibilities including supplier and customer liaison, oversight of Apprentice duties, as well as covering when the Workshop Manager is absent.
Now, we’d prefer it if you are qualified to NVQ/IMI Level 3 industry standard (or equivalent) and have a minimum of 5 years experience or more since qualification working in a UK garage environment. We will of course consider your application if you are qualified to Level 2.
The job is operational and therefore tiring so you should live within reasonable travelling distance of Exeter.
A full UK driving licence and a sense of humour are essential!
Full time position Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm (5 days a week). No weekend or bank holiday working.
Competitive salary range £31,000 - £37,000 pa (depending on current proven salary/experience) + other benefits.
