Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including flatbed trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load, unload, and secure cargo efficiently to prevent damage during transit
- Navigate delivery routes using GPS and maps, optimizing for time and efficiency
- Communicate professionally with customers upon delivery, providing excellent service and addressing any questions or concerns
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs and receipts
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure proper maintenance and safety standards are met
- Collaborate with dispatch teams to coordinate deliveries and report any issues promptly
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role, with a focus on customer service
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience preferred
- Familiarity with flatbed trucks and securing cargo safely during transit
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and navigation tools such as GPS devices or mapping software
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as loading and unloading cargo
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high safety standards throughout each shift
Pay: From £110.00 per day
