Registered Manager – New Solo Children’s Home (Exeter, Devon)
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 pre‑registration / £50,000–£55,000 once registered

An Exciting Opportunity to Open and Lead a Brand‑New Children’s Home
Are you ready to take on a meaningful challenge and make a life‑changing impact? Involve Care Solutions is seeking a passionate and dynamic Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead the opening of our brand new solo home in Exeter, Devon.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager or a strong Deputy ready to step up to be involved in the full opening process of a bespoke home designed for one child with a learning disability and complex needs. You will shape the culture, practice and direction of the home from day one.
About the Role
As the Registered Manager, you will:
- Lead the Ofsted registration and opening process
- Create a warm, safe, person‑centred environment for one child with complex needs
- Recruit, develop and manage a small, dedicated staff team
- Ensure high‑quality, trauma‑informed care
- Maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations and quality standards
- Work closely with senior leaders who will provide regulatory coaching and ongoing support
This role is ideal for someone who is motivated, child‑centred, and excited by the opportunity to build something exceptional from the ground up.
Experience & Qualifications
To be successful, you will bring:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential setting within the last 5 years
- At least 1 year supervising or managing staff in a care environment
- Completed or prepared to work towards Level 5 Leadership & Management in Residential Childcare
- Level 3 Children and Young People’s Workforce qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of Ofsted, children’s home regulations, and safeguarding
- Experience supporting children with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, or trauma
- A proven ability to lead teams and drive high‑quality practice
