Role: Outdoor Activity Outreach Leader
What You Will Do:
Be a Champion of Growth
Work closely with both young adults and children—including those with disabilities, learning disabilities, neurodiversity, and mental health needs—to foster personal growth, self-esteem, and resilience.
Where you will be working
Working with individuals on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, picking them up from their home or school and taking them to an outdoor venue to participate in tailor-made activities.
Outdoor activities will be in a variety of locations across North Northamptonshire.
Delivering 1-2 sessions per day centred around the needs, specific requirements and interests of each individual.
Each outdoor session will last between 3-6 hours and will take place between 9am – 4pm, Monday to Friday. Days and times are arranged as part of an individual’s bespoke timetable.
Engage in Meaningful Outdoor Adventures :
Facilitate engaging and nurturing outdoor experiences, guiding individuals and groups as they embark on local environmental projects, fostering a deeper connection with nature and a sense of community.
Mentorship & Support in a Therapeutic Setting :
Encourage energetic individuals to challenge themselves, nurturing their abilities in a therapeutic environment that promotes well-being and holistic development.
Essential Behind-the-Scenes Role :
Undertake key administrative responsibilities to ensure the smooth running of our programs, including record-keeping and fostering excellent relations with our partners.
What you need to apply
- Minimum of 1 year’s professional experience working with children or young
- people with additional needs (SEN, SEMH needs and other barriers to learning).
- Physically active with experience delivering outdoor sports or nature-based
- activities.
- A commitment to keeping children and young people safe and a practical and
- up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding.
- A current driving licence and willingness to drive as part of the role is essential.You will need to have a suitable personal vehicle that you are happy to drive for work (mileage will be reimbursed at a very competitive rate).
