As a Hub Host, you’ll be one of the first faces our guests meet — calm, friendly, and ready to help.
Role Overview
We are looking for a confident, warm, and service‑driven Hub Host to support daily operations across the café, lounge, and softplay. You will help create a welcoming environment, assist guests, and ensure our standards of service, cleanliness, and consistency are always met. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hospitality, takes pride in their work, and loves going the extra mile for guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Welcome — greet guests warmly and create a positive first impression
- Check‑ins & Bookings — manage softplay check‑ins, café seating flow, and reservations accurately
- Upselling — confidently recommend drinks, pastries, matchas, and add‑ons to enhance guest experience
- Portion Control — follow portion guidelines to maintain consistency and reduce waste
- Guest Support — assist with enquiries and guide families through our spaces
- Space Care — keep reception, café tables, lounge seating, and softplay areas clean and organised
- Google Reviews — encourage guests to leave positive reviews and handle feedback professionally
- Team Coordination — work closely with café, lounge, and softplay colleagues to maintain smooth operations
- Event Support — assist with setup and pack‑down for parties and private bookings
- Going the Extra Mile — offer thoughtful touches that make guests feel genuinely cared for
Experience & Skills
- Hospitality or customer‑facing experience is helpful but not essential — full training provided
- Warm, confident communication skills with the ability to engage guests of all ages
- Comfortable upselling products in a friendly, natural way
- Organised and attentive to detail, especially with portion control and bookings
- Able to work calmly in a lively, fast‑moving environment
- Professional approach to handling enquiries, feedback, and concerns
