RJ Lifts Group is growing in London. We’re building out routes across London and hiring across three levels. We currently have a route available covering N1, N1C, NW1, NW2, and NW3. Would be ideally suited to someone residing within a 45-minute drive of this area.
You will own a realistic portfolio, complete around 90 services per month, close out defects, and cover daytime calls 08:00–16:00 on your route.
Roles and salary bands
- Trained Fitter (1–2 years’ experience): £50,000–£55,000
- Advanced Fitter (multi-brand experience): £56,000–£67,000
- Senior Engineer (route lead/escalation): £68,000–£75,000
Standby and call-out
- Rota: 1 in 5
- Standby retainer: £250 per month (totalling £3,000 per year)
- Calls paid at £80 per call
- Travel on call: journeys of 40+ miles paid at double call rate (£160 total)
What you’ll do
- Maintain a defined portfolio and complete ~90 services/month to standard and schedule.
- Close out all service defects within agreed timeframes; aim for zero repeats.
- Attend and resolve daytime calls 08:00–16:00 on your route.
- Keep accurate digital records, RAMS and customer updates.
- Senior level: act as technical escalation and coach improvers/trainees.
What you’ll bring
- NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience with traction, hydraulic and MRL equipment; confident diagnostics on common London controllers (Kollmorgen, Thames Valley, Lester, KONE/Otis, etc.).
- Full UK driving licence and clear customer communication.
- Safety-first mindset and pride in tidy, right‑first‑time work.

Where and when
- London routes based in North/West and South‑East (no routine cross‑city shuttling).
- Core hours: 08:00–16:00 for services, defects and daytime calls (40 Hours per week).
