Red Recruitment are seeking a skilled VNA Driver to join our warehouse client team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) forklifts to efficiently move materials within the warehouse environment. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and equipment handling to ensure smooth operations and maintain high standards of safety and productivity.
Duties
- Operate VNA forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials across the warehouse
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and handling of goods
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accordingly
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking and storage in designated areas
- Assist with general warehouse duties including organising stock, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safety compliance
- Support with mechanical troubleshooting related to forklift operation when necessary
- Load and unload goods from lorries or containers using appropriate equipment
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory levels using basic maths skills
Skills
- Proven experience with warehouse management systems and materials handling procedures
- Mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and minor equipment repairs
- Valid forklift licence for VNA forklifts is required
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving processes within a warehouse environment
- Ability to lift loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and stock management
- Basic mathematical skills for inventory counting and data entry
- Experience working in a warehouse setting with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
Working hours: Monday to Friday 08:00-16:00
