We are seeking a dedicated and strategic Health Programme Lead to join the Safeguarding Team in BHT, working across the local system with partner organisations.
The post holder will provide strategic leadership for the health contribution to the Families First Partnership Programme across Buckinghamshire, leading the design, coordination and implementation of the health workstream within a complex multi-agency reform programme.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant reform programme aimed at transforming children’s social care. You will play a key role in shaping more integrated care for children and families, strengthening multi-agency safeguarding arrangements, and supporting early help initiatives.
The role will involve working with senior leaders across health, local authority and partner agencies to support development of health pathways, operating models, data and reporting arrangements, and evaluating the impact of reform activity to inform service development, assurance and future commissioning intentions.
- Lead the strategic development, coordination and implementation of the health workstream for the Families First Partnership Programme across Buckinghamshire
- Establish and maintain effective engagement with health partners across acute, community, mental health, primary care, the ICB and Public Health
- Support translation of national Families First reform into local policy, pathways and service delivery models within the health system
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between operational and strategic partners across organisations
- Provide leadership and expert advice to health partners on programme requirements, risks, emerging issues and system implications
- Develop and oversee a multi-agency health data, reporting and assurance framework to monitor progress, outcomes and impact
- Lead evaluation of the health contribution to the programme, identifying learning and supporting continuous improvement and service development
- Advise and support senior system leaders and programme boards on risks, dependencies and delivery challenges
- Represent the health system within Families First governance arrangements, including Steering Boards and programme workstreams
- Work closely with designated professionals and wider health colleagues to support alignment with safeguarding arrangements and statutory responsibilities
