We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our family run business. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure optimal safety. NVQ Level 3 in motor vehicle repairs or equivalent
Minimum 4 years time served
Mot license(preferred but not essential)
Plenty of overtime available also
Minimum of one Saturday a fortnight

Duties
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, brakes, suspension, and electrical components
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and adjustments
- Diagnose faults using specialised equipment and techniques
- Replace worn or damaged parts with precision and care
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, services, and parts used
- Assist in the ordering of parts and inventory management as required
- Adhere to health and safety regulations during all tasks, including heavy lifting when necessary
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components
- Experience with power tools relevant to automotive repair
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, handling vehicle parts or equipment up to specified weights
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Effective communication skills for liaising with team members and customers
- A recognised qualification in automotive technology or equivalent experience is desirable but not essential
Pay: £38,000.00-£44,000.00 per year
