We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team at our Head Office, Albany House in Eastbourne. You will play a key part in maintaining, securing and developing the technology infrastructure that keeps Brewers running smoothly and our colleagues connected.
As a key member of the team, you will combine hands on technical expertise with technical and process leadership. You will help maintain and improve our core infrastructure while setting standards, guiding good practice and coaching the IT Operations Engineers who support services across Brewers. This is a hands on technical role that brings together infrastructure expertise, service improvement and operational resilience. Working closely with colleagues across the business, suppliers and technology partners, you will help ensure our systems remain secure, reliable and fit for the future.
This role is suited to an experienced infrastructure professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, improving ways of working and supporting others to develop. Key objectives in this role include:

Lead the maintenance and continuous improvement of our core IT infrastructure and operational services

Act as the senior escalation point for complex technical issues, major incidents and service disruptions

Provide technical guidance, day-to-day coaching and mentoring to IT Operations Engineers

Drive infrastructure improvements that enhance security, resilience, performance and operational efficiency
-
Lead or support high risk technical changes, ensuring robust planning, testing, implementation and post change review

Support disaster recovery, business continuity and operational governance activities

Work closely with suppliers and technology partners to maintain service quality and deliver successful outcomes

Contribute to infrastructure projects from design and implementation through to support transition and ongoing optimisation

Create and maintain clear technical documentation, standards, processes and knowledge resources
Who we are looking for:
-
Significant infrastructure engineering experience across Microsoft 365, Windows Server, networking, endpoint management and identity and access technologies

Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Defender for Endpoint

Proven experience managing technical escalations and restoring critical services in a live operational environment

Experience providing technical guidance, coaching and support within an infrastructure or technical support team

Strong understanding of infrastructure security, disaster recovery, business continuity and operational best practice

Experience planning and delivering infrastructure changes, process improvements and service improvement activity

Excellent communication, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Experience using PowerShell or similar automation tools

A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to our sites when required
